Project Brief
They wanted the whole package. They were nearing the end of a multi-million £££ project, transforming an arena-sized ‘shed’ into an ultra-modern warehouse servicing the needs of a global computer parts distributor, and the task included integrating robots plus the very latest inventory management systems. They required a basket of media assets to help tell their story: high quality video footage, stills and drone shots; and from all this several long-form films edited in addition to short-form derivatives suitable for promotion across all major social media platforms.
Image-wise they were very particular about the tone they wished to convey: an ‘industrial’ colour grade to all materials, with a heavy rock music track to drive along an upbeat, fast, efficient visual narrative complementing a subtly creative approach to this major installation. The project was almost year-long in planning and execution.
It’s onwards and upwards for Milestone Projects — utilising the carefully crafted content we produced to advertise their great achievements, and positioning themselves to take on an even grander project in the not-too-distant future.

“We had some very specific requirements when we approached James and Dan to help us with a video project on a client site. We weren’t just looking for a creative team — we needed partners who could align closely with our brand identity while also respecting the operational sensitivities and restrictions of our client’s facility. From day one, the team showed patience, professionalism, and flexibility — working closely with us through every stage of the project to ensure we met both creative and practical expectations. What we’ve received is high-quality content that not only reflects our brand but also maintains the integrity and confidentiality of our client’s environment.”

Quagga Design
Project Brief
Quagga Design is a boutique, award-winning company specialising in the design and installation of in-store displays for élite retailers, handling projects from concept to delivery. Known for their quirky and innovative approach, they sought a corporate video to encapsulate this unique identity. Managing Director Steve Green, a charismatic and artistic leader, brings a surprisingly relaxed presence to this high-pressure industry, setting the standard for his highly successful team.
The video project aimed to capture this ethos by filming Steve on a sunny Sunday morning, coffee in hand, to reflect on-camera his calm and creative leadership. The production also documented the team in action during a typical workweek, weaving these authentic moments captured into the final edit.
By focusing on the right tone and attention to detail, the resulting films not only met the marketing objectives, but also stood out as a testament to the art of corporate filmmaking.

“The Avenue MPC are true visionaries! Their expertise in video production exceeded our expectations. Their attention to detail was exceptional and they brought our brand vision to life with creativity and precision. The collaboration was seamless, and the final result is awesome!”

C2C Social Action is a charity dedicated to supporting individuals at any stage of the criminal justice system, offering both one-to-one and group support. While the majority of its service-users are women, and it often functions as a women’s refuge, its impact extends far beyond this. At critical moments C2C has the power to transform lives for the better.
To reflect the charity’s core values and assist in fundraising efforts, this film was created. The process began with transcribing real-world interviews with service-users, many of whose stories would break your heart. These narratives informed the script, blending interviews with dramatic sequences, and extensive footage was captured and meticulously edited in to craft a compelling story. The final presentation, nearly six minutes long, captures the viewer’s attention, making the time feel simply fly by.
As Julie Parsons, the charity’s founder, aptly states, “People have more value than they realise, and they are worth more than the worst thing they’ve ever done.”

“Working with James and Dan at The Avenue was an absolute pleasure. From the very beginning, they completely understood the message we wanted to convey and approached our project with both professionalism and genuine empathy. Their ability to translate our vision into film was nothing short of remarkable. The final product exceeded our expectations – a beautifully crafted short film that truly captures the heart of C2C’s work in supporting disadvantaged and vulnerable people. Their attention to detail, creativity, and dedication to storytelling made all the difference, and we are incredibly grateful for their hard work. If you’re looking for a team that listens, cares, and delivers exceptional results, I cannot recommend The Avenue highly enough. Thank you for bringing our story to life in such a powerful and meaningful way!”

Northamptonshire boasts a vibrant music scene, home to seasoned industry players like the band Stokin’ The Fire. We were tasked with creating a promotional video for their debut single, Free, from their self-titled EP. The shoot featured the band gathered around a campfire at Grendon Lakes, a scenic location capturing the essence of freedom.
For their second single, There’s Something Going On Here, the production took a more intricate turn. Alongside securing a Victorian-era industrial location, we incorporated green screen technology. Mastering green screen lighting is a unique skill, and the post-production compositing process demands time, patience and significant computing resources. Despite these challenges, the creative possibilities expand dramatically, indeed limited only by imagination.
Completing this project was both rewarding and enlightening, offering a glimpse into the potential of green screen artistry.

“We (Stokin’ The Fire band) want to convey our heart-felt thanks to the guys at The Avenue Motion Picture Company for the great work on our new video for ‘Free’. It’s been a great pleasure and experience working with you, and we are delighted with the final result. It’s just been released and we’re getting some great reviews and it’s only just started! We have high hopes for the future and we look forward to working with you again soon on what we hope will be an ongoing string of projects.”

Filming live events can be a thrilling yet nerve-wracking experience, especially without full preparation – and even then surprises are inevitable. The day involved capturing two 70-minute sets, featuring around 50 dancers and 60 songs. Coordination with the venue’s own internal sound and lighting teams was essential, as was bringing the right equipment, understanding the day’s schedule, and managing audience logistics. Above all, staying adaptable to the unpredictable was key.
The core principle of filmmaking is to “get it in the can,” and with live events there’s no room for retakes. Capturing the fluidity of dance requires anticipating the performers’ movements and tracking them seamlessly. Later, editing the footage to recreate the live experience is both challenging and deeply rewarding.
The final product, a private streaming piece, is exclusively shared with the dancers and their families, preserving the magic of the performance for a select audience. The above links leads to a 2mins’ promo, for which all permissions were received.

“The guys from The Avenue did an exceptional job capturing our showcase in June. Their skills were outstanding, and they managed to capture the energy and excitement of the event perfectly. The footage was beautifully edited and we were so impressed with the final product. Their communication throughout the planning of the show was exceptional and they were always contactable with any questions and always really helpful. They met with us on several occasions at the studio and the venue to ensure they were up to date with the plans. We would highly recommend their services to any dance school looking for a professional videographer.”

Our session centred on analysis of the script to beloved movie Dead Poets Society (apt for a classroom of kids being “all creative n’all that”), and the functioning truth that a film script is the blueprint for how various professionals within the industry – ie., the director, actors, camera & lighting teams, set designers, prop masters, costume designers, make-up artists, et al – interpret and execute their roles, each making a vital contribution to the overall production.
The event was a roaring success, culminating in an engaging Q&A session with the students.

“It is vital that the next generation recognise and truly understand what it means to be creative and, if they have an affinity for it, to pursue their dreams. This fits in with our careers vision here at The Duston School and why we established the Creative Industries Day; and for the filmmaking segment we invited Daniel at The Avenue Motion Picture Company to spend time with our Year 7s. We're really pleased with how he followed through, and the feedback was immense. First he discussed with them the nature of creativity and imagination, and how these play an integral part in any success in all aspects of life. Then onto demonstrating filmmaking; and he introduced the pupils to the nature of story and how the numerous skills & professions that contribute to a movie or TV production all play a part in bringing a film project to life. A real eye-opener. We fully appreciate the clarity and passion he brought to the day, thank you.”

Project Brief
Northamptonshire’s live music scene has experienced a resurgence since the impact of Covid-19, with a growing appetite for Open Mic & Jam nights. These events provide a platform for both emerging and established artists to perform their talents, fostering a sense of community and creativity.
Inspired by this revival, we are developing a feature documentary that delves into the lives of working musicians. This project aims to explore the delicate balance they navigate between pursuing their artistic passions and meeting the practical demands of everyday life. Musicians, like many artists, often face the challenge of aligning their creative aspirations with financial realities, embodying the internal struggle between the needs of the soul and the body.
This documentary seeks to highlight the resilience and dedication of musicians, who, despite the hurdles, continue to inspire and connect with people in unique ways. Their stories reflect a universal truth: music has the power to resonate deeply within us all, regardless of our ability to play an instrument. Through this project we hope to capture the essence of what it means to live the dream while paying the bills, celebrating the unique spirit of those who dedicate their lives to the art of music.

“I have been a musician for a long time now and have played with many, many gifted players – in bands, at festivals, on the road, in the studio – you name it, I've been there, witnessing the very best in people (and some times the very not so brilliant). So when I first came across the guys at The Avenue Motion Picture Company and they explained to me their idea for a feature documentary on the live music scene in Northamptonshire, and in particular how live music creates a strong sense of community, I was keen to be involved. And I have been highly impressed with their professionalism. I never realised what was involved: the scripting, planning, organisation and execution of numerous shoots – the live music, interviews and B-roll – plus the creation of the story during the editing process. All throughout this time they put myself and the other musicians involved in the project at ease, guiding us all through the process so that we were always giving our best in the creation of a final film that we can all be proud of. Indeed, I have every confidence in these guys. So... if you have a problem, if no-one else can help, and you can find them, maybe you can hire The A-Team.”
